Being a resident of Providence, I have dined many times at Rasoi and have never been disappointed. Everything on the menu is delicious, authentic and fresh. The service is impeccable and the drinks are superb. My favorite dish is the chicken tikka with brown rice and an opener of cauliflower 65. Superb. There are also multiple options for vegans and vegetarians. There is always a crowd on the weekends especially so if you are in a hurry, I suggest you make reservations. Otherwise, have a drink at the bar while you wait and enjoy the aroma of the cuisines of India.
Reviewed May 17, 2014 This was my second visit to Rasoi and I found the food to be excellent both times. Many ethnic restaurants have chosen a fusion style ( which is fine), but Rasoi seems to take a more traditional approach. I had the Sattvic lunch, which is a balanced ayurvedic meal. Delicious!
Reviewed April 20, 2014 I’ve always liked Rasoi, and was glad when the owner opened a restaurant in East Greenwich (Rasa). I’ve been going to Rasa, but was in the Providence area over the past week and ate at Rasoi twice over the past few days. There food is amazing. Chicken Tandoori is excellent, lamb patties are delicious and the service is great too. I had their Sunday buffet today and everything on it was seasoned just right, and some of the best Indian I’ve had, From the coconut chick pea dish, to the vegetable patties to the various chicken & lamb dishes, everything on the buffet was fresh & cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the meals so much, we visited 2 days in a row!
Reviewed April 9, 2014 Its in a weird little strip mall, but the service and the food was outstanding. The waiter was knowledgeable, and recommended a dish for myself and my husband. We got that and were impressed with his call. Very, very worth the ride from Massachusetts.
