An Experience of the Senses...
DINER FROM PROVIDENCE
I visited Rasa last night with a friend …We went to see the movie, “The Hundred Foot Journey” and we wanted to experience some of the food and spices from India since the movie made them look and seem so delicious… I cannot say enough about this Restaurant From the service, to the food , it really is 5 star! The taste of all the spices was so interesting to all the senses…just absolutely delish ! I loved it so much , that after telling my son about the experience…he brought me back tonight so he could try it. Now he is a fan.. I would highly recommend the , “Cauliflower 65″ appetizer….and the Tandoori Lamb Chops…which were so tender you could pull the meat from the bone with a fork. The combination of spices were addictive…I will be visiting frequently as my new favorite place to dine out….Last night I tried the Salmon and I think it was the best I’ve ever tasted. Also , our waiter was so attentive as well as charming …and the Manager came over to our table and was so nice to us as well. This is how every Restaurant should treat their customers…as if you are a guest in their own home…SUPERB !

Although we are not being experienced with Indian cuisine we decided to try RASA. We were attracted by the decor and the overall atmosphere of this smaller establishment with a lively buzz which still allowed for normal conversation. The staff was very helpful with meal suggestions which proved to be right on the mark. Quality wise the food was nicely prepared and presented. The spices were well crafted with a mixture of interesting tastes. There is a good mix of spice levels such that nothing we have eaten came off as being overly spicy. You can still taste the underlying ingredients. Rasa seems to know the right balance. They do not mask the individual flavors of the dishes or overwhelm the senses. The owners have introduced themselves by name and greeted us personally each time we have visited and thanked us with a firm handshake when we have left. They really seem to care about your dining experience. We will certainly be back again and spread the word.

Our waitress Brandy was exceptional. She explained in detail the many offerings and assisted us in our choices (which were wonderful!) She also made a great cocktail. We were celebrating a birthday and were given a complementary dessert. The manager took the time to come and chat with us. A very enjoyable evening.

We love Indian food .At Rasa we have a wide selection of freshly prepared and delicious food. The service is outstanding and- off menu items are graciously prepared. A great combination. Not our first visit nor our last.

The service was top-notch. From the hostess, to our waitress and assisting waitstaff, to the owner, and the valets, everyone was friendly and professional. The prices are a bit higher than some other equally-delicious Indian restaurants in Rhode Island, but the ambiance and service at Rasa is sure to impress. A nice spot to take guests for a special treat. The food did not disappoint.
