The owner of Kabob and Curry and Rasoi opened up his third Indian restaurant at 149 Main Street,East Greenwich, RI.

Sanjiv Dhar cut his teeth, restaurant-wise, on Thayer Street with Kabob and Curry, an Indian food staple there now. Then he opened Rasoi in Pawtucket just north of the Providence line. That restaurant has won numerous best-of awards from both the Providence Phoenix and Rhode Island Monthly.

“RASA” is a sanskrit word and translated means ‘Essence’. Although the concept of Rasa is traditional in many forms of Indian Art, we have used “Rasa” in our restaurant to capture values and emotions through the artwork, colors on the walls, spices in the food, and service with a smile.
